Net IT

Net IT front view

Net IT™ is our Ethernet to DMX node which works with ACN and Artnet on the Ethernet side. On the stage side, Net IT will output DMX and RDM (Remote Device Management or E1.20) to control moving lights, scrollers, smoke machines, and more. It also works with Infogate™ software to form the heart of an industry standard feedback system.

Net IT™ works hand-in-hand with the Infogate software and graphical user interface, which lets users monitor their lighting rigs from a workstation anywhere in the theatre. The Net IT™ gateway enables users to do more than simply send the DMX signal to control their rig. Through the feedback workstation, users can also manage set-up parameters and receive valuable feedback from their rigs during the show with the industry standard talkback protocol – RDM.

RDM, an industry-standard two-way communication protocol was developed by ESTA in 2006. This protocol lets the devices on a rig actually tell their operators when there's a problem. This lets operators troubleshoot problems quickly. It's an invaluable tool for lighting pros who want to be proactive, not reactive, when it comes to problems on a rig.

Of course it works with Wybron's RDM-compatible products such as the Coloram IT scrolling color changer, the CXI IT dual-scroller color-mixing changer, the Eclipse IT mechanical dowsers both shutter and iris.
