Split IT

The Split IT™ is a one-in, eight-out RDM/DMX optically isolated splitter/repeater. Split IT™ is normally used in a DMX network which has the possibility of having locations with different ground potentials. In the sound world, this causes a ground loop, or a loud hum. In the lighting world the network branch works intermittently or not at all.

The front of the unit features LEDs showing unit power, DMX traffic and RDM traffic on each port. The Split IT™ is itself an RDM device and may be discovered, allowing for almost immediate warning if the device fails. All ports are optically isolated to 1000v.

The Split IT™ may be left on a desk or mounted to a 19-inch rack by using the included rack kit. A pipe hanging bracket is also available. Split IT™ also may be purchased with terminal blocks instead of the normal 5-pin XLR connectors.
